Then Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (AZ-8) wanted to toughen her image for her reelection campaign so she asked to have this picture taken holding an AR-15 while standing next to a member of a SWAT Team. This was to give a false impression of her as being pro Second Amendment. Her true agenda has since been revealed after she was shot. It wasn't her being shot that changed her agenda.
