Fortunately, no. I like to feel that I am probably fairly safe where I live. I live slightly uphill, with a flood "bowl" built into a park that is downhill from me, although the bowl was not designed for large scale flooding it could still prove an asset hopefully.
I'll go and stand behind the Thames Barrier if it looks like it might get bad in London. :)
The rains have eased up a bit now as well, but I don't know for how long.
The weekend after next I am going to Cornwall for 2 weeks though, I am just hoping the rain stays away then. A couple of years back a place in Cornwall that I like to visit suffered severe flood damage.
