Yeah those were the days......the only one shot stop I've ever had was with a .357 125 grain Winchester Silvertip. One was all I could get off, my hands were covered in blood trying to stop a chest wound on the bad guys victim....I looked up and here he came outta the woods, hell bent to shoot someone else.......me. I had stock wooden grips on a model 19......one shot, and the thing twisted around in my hands, by the time I re-gripped he was one the ground.
I went to packs after that, they were much better......then Houges came out, and they were even better. Houges are what I have on my Ruger SP101, and they still serve me well.

Correct that.....I should have said the only "one shot stop with a.357" because I usually double tapped...........I also had a one shot stop with a my S&W 1006 10mm.....a head shot"......there was no need for a second round, he was already on the ground. That 10 did an awesome job.
