Took that Springfield XD-45 I was having problems with to the gun shop. I told the gunsmith what was going on and he starts checking the thing out, says wait a minute, goes in the back for about twenty minutes, hands it back to me and says "try it now". So I took it home with 300 rounds of Federal, winchester, CCI brass, and Tul ammo. My friend comes over with 150 reloads, and a couple of hours later, there's no paint on the center mass of the steel target. It shot everything center mass, every time. It had two failure to go completely into battery with the reloaded stuff, which was the second to last magazine of ammo. When I took it apart to clean it, it was caked with crud. I think the problem is solved.
Inconsistant performance. It was spraying rounds all over. And it was having failures to feed.
No Blue. ...................what did the gunsmith say was malfunctioning on the XD???
..........enquiring minds, and nosey old cops want to know.
He didn't say. And I didn't ask, because I really didn't think he was gonna fix it. Especially that quick.
But when I see him tomorrow, I'm certainly going to ask.
He said there were three problems. A burr at the muzzle, a burr where the slide meets up to the top of the chamber face, and he felt the trigger had a hitch in it. The trigger sure is smooth now. He said all he used was a dremel with some emory cloth. I swear I can't see where he touched anything. Those big 45s sure slap some steel.

I went to two wal marts today, and saw nothing. I was searching for ammo. Came up empty.
I am worried about my guns in the safe .... I have a few packs of that mosture grabber in there ... but basically it has been a few years since I have taken time to clean and oil ,... I need to get to work
Blue, ammo is very short everywhere.....it's even getting short here. Karin said two years ago that "THEY" would try to dry up the ammo first......she a smart Lady.
"THEY"....(the low life, sleezbag, treasonist, scoundrals in Washington DC) have bought up enough ammo to supply three armies. I guess we need to find out where they store it.....go shopping at their warehouse.
Everytime I used to go to the range with a 1911 I would take along my Taurus 945. If anyone had trouble feeding ammo I would load it in the mag for the Taurus and 9 outta 10 times the ol' Taurus 945 would feed, and fire. Everybody made fun of it at first........"You bought a what"????......"A Taurus .45"????........then after a few times of seeing how flawlessly the thing functioned more, and more Taurus 945's started showing up.
Wish I still had it..........she was ugly, but ya turn out the light's and she was sweet.....kind of like my 7th grade girlfriend.
