Got water?

Was gonna drive down to the river for a while, today. Never made it that far. Both the Mississippi and Obion rivers are out of their banks.

Haven't heard any damage estimates. Don't know if anyone had planted yet. Last year, it was about 4 ft. deeper.

The river has dropped 1 1/2ft., in the last few days....but, we had some severe storms yesterday and that has it on the rise, again. Around here, if you stay on I-155 until you get out of the bottoms, you'll be ok.

So Sniper ... how are we looking today after the rain from Yesterday?

Does any of this affect you and where you live ... are you going to have to evacuate if it floods out too much?

The water has dropped about a foot and still going down. It will take some heavy rains up north to push it back up. Went down to the end of the big levee and saw where a farmer has 2 huge pumps running 24/7, trying to drain his fields.

Took them with the Kodak that I got little over a year ago, takes way better stills. The killdeer was about 10 ft. from the truck. I just cropped a 640x480 section from the pic.

Here's a couple of pics of 2 old barns, that I took the same day.

Yeah. It's a real small one, about 30 ft. Just big enough to move barges around, one at a time. Here's a couple of larger ones.

I live right on the Ohio River and see all kinds of boats. One of the show boats or something comes up through here a couple of times a year. Something like the Mississippi Queen or something.
