My sister posted this on my Family Forum yesterday .... I just noticed it a few minutes ago ... Must go fix this ... IO and myself are on the way to Rite Aid to play Santa Clause.....
My neighbor came about four yesterday afternoon, he has six kids all under seven. He had no money for Christmas. Tears in his eyes, he asked for help. We did what we could. It probably wasn't enough.
We picked up a bunch of games, crayons and puzzles ... IO put together some teddy bears ... I let IO walk them over .... lots of smiles from the kids and the parents were real appreciative ....
Yeah ... Entre ... It was nice to see the smiles on their faces ... they were ages 1 to 7 ... three boys and three girls ... and ... I believe that they were happy ...
we got them some stuffed animals ... some small Christmas stockings with candy ... some games ... such as Candy-Land ... and a couple of card games and puzzles ... so they could have time together playing as a family ... and learning also ... one of the puzzle games had letters ... and the letters fit together to make words ... SU picked it out ... I thought it was cool ...
Oh and his family had fun .... we had a laundry bag full of candy, toys, candles, small perfume bottles, stuffed Christmas toys, and a joke item of ex-lax .... everyone got to get one item out at a time only they could not look to see what they were getting ... we had enough for the family to go around several times ... everyone got a big laugh when the ex-lax came out ... over all it was a nice time ...
You guys are amazing, after all you have been through this last few months you still find it in your hearts to help others in a time of need. Good stuff.

Yes they are amazing people, and it doesn't surprise me a bit that they did that.
I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. I just got back from MI on Friday, it was really good to spend time with my family.
SU, I took the train to MI and ended up having dinner with a trucker and his wife. They live in Las Vegas and take the train cross country all the time - they told me the name of a good steak place in Vegas, when I find the piece of paper I wrote it on I'll let you know what it is. I told them that I have a friend who's a trucker and finds himself in Vegas from time to time.
