Mildred's Ice Tea recipe

I met Mildred working Fema in Bon Wier, Tx ...

IO made some tea the other day and I quickly redirected her to Mildred ...

No sweat..being that my mother is from England this is easy..I prefer Tetley tea but will use Liptons if I can't find the other.  (Tetley's does not have a lot of tea dust so it doesn't have a bitter taste).
You need an aluminum pan (dollar store).  Don't use it for anything but tea!!!!.  Bring your water to a boil and drop tea bags in let boil for appr. 1 min and turn off.  let it set until it is still pretty warm but not hot hot....  for a gallon of tea I use appr 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 sugar.  put the sugar in pour the tea in add water to make a gallon and stir.  I keep 2 gallons make all the time.  It is better if it is al least 12  hours old before drinking.  enjoy  Mil

12 hours is a long time. How many tea bags does she use? I brew my iced (and hot) tea pretty strong.

She doesn't say ... I guess follow the directions on the box... then adjust for taste ...

But Ice tea will keep for days in the fridge ...
