After many failed attempts to organize my online time, I've concluded that I need to cut down on the places I visit. I've decided to limit my online play to this forum, my own, and Officer.com. Believe me, I would have gladly eliminated Officer.com, but we occasionally get a good TDS member through the link in my sig.
I'll still keep my account at SL, but I have no idea when I'll be able to get there, so if someone wants my room at the lighthouse, please feel free to give it away. Also, I'd be glad to give the Linden back, if anyone can tell me how to do it. Thanks IO and SU for the time you spent helping me find my way around the SL world. It was really fun to hang out with you guys.
O,,,, thats choice.Have we gotten to the point now as a society that we have to organize our Internet life? And worse yet, has it gotten so bad now that since our Internet life is nothing more then direct text responses that even our thinking has to be noted. And thus, we even have to post a post like the one above? Over all, it is interesting, but I also find it a bit frightening.
PS this was in no way a direct statement toward you. Just an observation.

Yes, I do think we have. I thought computers and the internet were supposed to make life easier, but they add a whole new set of responsibilities. Not counting my all-day monitoring of counseling transcripts, it takes me at least 2 hours a day to do everything I think I should do on the internet.
I say "think" I should do, because as I'm re-examining the time I spend, I'm seeing that life will actually go on if I'm not on the internet all day.
