So I get this phone call from a agent today ..... His message to me was .....
I was never to call his agency again and I'm supposed to stick my head up my ass as far as I can ......
I got to laughing so hard that tears were streaming down my face and I couldn't hardy breath .... both in which it makes it hard to drive a truck ....
But all my laughing did was piss him off more ..... not to mention the fact that my company deducted 150 bucks from his account and added it to mine .....
eh ..... Some people just can't deal with excellence ....
I get set up On a logistics load .... 10 stops for Costco stores .... It's a driver assist load so that means I'm supposed to help in loading and unloading ....
9am load appointment time .... I come in the night before and crash out ... When I wake up in the morning ... I check in around 7 and they show me what to load ..... And the guy mentions the an out side source that usually comes by to help load .... I wasn't told of any outside labor ....
So I call my agent and she says that she will check, hang on and she will call me right back ... As normal with her ... she never calls back ..... So I Load the truck according to the instructions in the email she sent .... 6 pads and 2 straps to each kiosk ..... 5 on each wall with a walk path down the center ... each kiosk marked for the proper stop .....
The help shows up ... happy as hell cause his job is done .... checks the truck out and says it's loaded just fine ....
The shippers checks and gives me my paper work .... and the agent finally calls and says to wait for the help ....
So I tell her ... little late ... trucks loaded ... everybody is happy ... the help and the shipper looked at the load and their happy .... I''m outa here ....
I'm 2 miles down the road and she is calling me telling me to go back ... they want the load checked out ..... I'm like they already checked it ..... But I went back any way ...
I get back and a third person checks the load ( he has no clue why) out and I call the agent and tell the agent ( I'm dealing with the owner of the agency now) It's checked again and every thing is fine ...
He starts chewing me out because I did not wait on the labor .... My point is is they never told me anything about outside labor when I took the load .... not even in the email confirming all the info we discussed on the phone .....
But this guy is going ape shit by now because I didn't follow their half assed instructions to the letter and tells me to put the freight back on the dock ....
Well the shipper has more people involved now .... their still happy with the load and they send this cute chick out the get me not to unload it .... I told her if she would let me get another agent to book it I would take it on .... but it was Costco that booked the load so she had no power on that end ......
Any how ... IO had me on another load before I got the stuff off the truck ..... And poor IO ... she worked so hard helping me with all the pads ands straps .... She looked so tired ...
The agent calls me a couple of hours later and gives me my message ..... I'm thinking that he lost the load if not the customer because his load fell off the load board but no truck showed up for a Brick, NJ destination ..... I got a piece of his money for truck ordered not used and I'm thinking he probably will have to shell out the difference for getting a logistics van in on a now distressed load of his making .... It was his choice after everybody including our main office said the load was fine to have me unload the freight ...
Sad part is ... finally I take a load to BC's neck of the woods .... maybe next time honey ...
