Do credit card companies just employee stupid people, or do they just think you are stupid???
Which ever it is ... I hate to deal with them on the phone ... they just do not listen to you when you try to explain things to them ....
What happened to the customer is always right ... thing that use to be ...
This time I know I am right and they are trying to screw me out of money ... it was bad enough that someone somehow got my card number and charged my account with over $400.00 dollars worth of charges ...
but ....
it is worse when you get the credit for the charges ... then they take that credit back saying they credited you twice for the charge but they did not ... and they call you a lier ...
IO, did you get that persons name? Call them back and talk to a supervisor, it's the only way you will get anywhere with them!! You will need all of the transactions in that time-frame( about a month, usually). Good luck!!!!!!!!!
Same thing happened to me with Providian Visa and I never got the money back. There were admittedly some extenuating circumstances, but not enough to justify how incompetent they were. Surprisingly, I have found Target Visa to be the best card I've ever had.
They are listening when you try to explain things, they just don't understand the language. A lot of credit card companies have out source their Customer Service to India. It is frustrating beyond belief. I have cancled all of my cards except my local credit union for this very reason!
