NEW YORK -- A dozen rats were caught on video scurrying around the floor of a New York City KFC/Taco Bell restaurant early today, running between counters and tables and climbing on children's high chairs.
That was nuts. This is why i do not eat food not prepared in my own home. Nevermind the ignorants that dont wash their hands, theres just too many words for me to put here..................

Lucky for me that most people don't think the way you do about eating in restaurants. I'd have to find a new job.
Here's some reading material for you to peruse before you do your grocery shopping.
I know there is risk in everything you consume . I just am picky about what i choose to consume. As far as eating out. I have worked in many restaraunts and have seen many things, even the high class ones. It is just a fact of the business. But i have chosen to stay away ffrom fast food for the sanitation issues and the health issues too.
Considering that I make the equipment that goes into restaurants and such, so therefore I can spend some time in such places ripping out old equipment and installing new equipment (or rather I did in the past, we tend to put that sort of work out to others now), I have seen some sights that would turn you off eating out for life. Mice infestations are quite common place, but never seen evidence of rats yet.
One thing that disturbed me once though, was when I went to use the toilet, it was the same toilet that all the kitchen staff would use, including the chefs. There was no soap in there, and even if there had been soap, there was no towel or any other means of drying hands afterwards. I now keep a tube of hand cleanser in my toolbox in case of a repeat of this in the future.
LOL, I am an electrician who wires up catering equipment, the only time I ever need to go on site now is for something that might be too tricky for our installers to wire up on site, although I do try to make everything as foolproof as possible, even down to including wiring instructions where I deem it appropriate. The only other times I go on site is for warranty call outs on our stuff, which are few and far between, because I only ever use quality products, unlike a lot of other companies in my line of work.
Like I said, I have never encountered rats, but mice I have, although they have always been dead mice, luckily I have never come across a live infestation yet.
This reminds me of a little hot dog stand that SU and I went to one time. The dumpster on the side of the building had rats running all around it. Some of the customers were feeding them ...
Strange what people will do sometimes ... especially when their bored.
What exactly is a dumpster? This is the second time that I have seen a dumpster mentioned lately.
As for people feeding the rats that were running around in the dumpster, maybe the said people should of been put in the dumpster themselves for the rats to eat, that would of killed two birds with one stone then, the people would never feed rats again, and the rats would have enough to eat to keep them occupied for quite a while, so maybe a little less breeding would take place, therefore slightly lowering then the rat population.
